Vision Coverage – A Highly Valued Benefit

Offering vision coverage can be a win-win for both employers and employees. From the employer’s perspective, vision coverage is relatively inexpensive, rates do not tend to increase dramatically and research shows that employees who visit an optometrist yearly are better producers with lower absenteeism.

72 percent of the adult population already require corrective lenses and yet only 48 percent have their eyes checked regularly…primarily due to cost. Employees with vision coverage are more apt to see their eye doctor on an annual basis, keeping their prescriptions updated as their eyes change.

Premier Access offers two vision plans that offer a variety of benefits, both in- and out-of-network. Exams, lenses, frames and contacts are all covered at varying levels, depending upon the plan. Discounted LASIK procedures are also available. Coverage is available to groups of five or more eligible employees.

The Premier Access vision coverage is offered in conjunction with MESVision. MES has a substantial panel of Ophthalmologists, Opticians, and Optometrists located throughout the United States including most popular retail optical chain locations. Participating providers are required to meet stringent quality of care and credentialing standards.
